Walt Disney World Resort’s New Years Celebration

A kaleidoscope of colors and elaborate light displays will decorate the skies on the final night of 2009 at Walt Disney World Resort.

Dazzling fireworks showers, live entertainment and extended park hours throughout the Vacation Kingdom on December 31, 2009 make it a popular spot to ring in the new year.

DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will host “Fantasmic!,” the lavish spectacular of water animation, lasers and fireworks, at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Revelers can “rock on” with live performances by in-park band “Mulch, Sweat and Shears,” plus a DJ spinning tunes at Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat.

A special “Lights, Camera, Happy New Year” fireworks show brings in the new year at 11:50 p.m. The park is open from 9 a.m. until midnight on Dec. 31.

MAGIC KINGDOM

Late-nighters can party at Magic Kingdom until the wee hours with parades and fireworks galore.

The park is aglow with “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” at 12 noon and 3 p.m., followed by the wondrous “SpectroMagic” parade at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

“Holiday Wishes” fireworks, the boldest and brightest pyrotechnics show at Disney, takes place at 8:30 p.m. capped with the grand finale “Fantasy in the Sky” fireworks at 11:50 p.m. On Dec. 31, the park is open from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m.

EPCOT

At Epcot, a special version of “IllumiNations: Reflections Buy Accutane of Earth,” the laser-light spectacular featuring dancing flames and cascading fountains orchestrated to an original musical score, will be presented at 7:40 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. The park’s Dec. 31 operating hours are 8 a.m. to 1 a.m.

DISNEY’S ANIMAL KINGDOM

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Dec. 31. Guests can enjoy one of the final presentations of the romping character cavalcade “Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade” at 3:45 p.m.

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL

Highlighting incredible human talent, each show is a fantastic and indescribable celebration of the imagination, and the New Year’s Eve celebration features a commemorative gift and special finale. Tickets for the New Year’s Eve performances range from $73.49 - $127.80 (child) and $84.14 - $152.30 (adult), and are available at the box office or by calling 407-939-7328.

Disney World Resort’s Independence Day Celebration

A variety of special events for Fourth of July are scheduled at all four of the major theme parks at Walt Disney World® Resort - Disney’s Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park - such as patriotic parades, live music and spectacular fireworks shows.

2009 Independence Day Celebrations at Walt Disney World® Resort

Disney’s Magic Kingdom® Park

A Fourth of July “Concert in the Sky” will light up the night at the Magic Kingdom® Buy Accutane Park in honor of Independence Day. Featuring a magnificent display of aerial fireworks, dazzling pyrotechnic effects and dynamic music, the show, entitled “Disney’s Celebrate America!-A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky,” is a grand tribute to the United States, its people and traditions.

The special show is scheduled for 9 p.m. The Magic Kingdom® Park also will feature two performances of the “SpectroMagic” nighttime parade, first at 10:30 p.m. and then again at 12:30 a.m. that same night.

Epcot®

A holiday-inspired finale will be added to the nightly fireworks extravaganza at Epcot®, “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.”

The park’s American Adventure pavilion also will feature enhanced entertainment throughout the day, with visits from historic characters who will share their stories. American Adventure also will feature additional performances of its signature musical group, Voices of Liberty, performing patriotic classics.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios will present a special July 4th fireworks show at 9 p.m., with skyrockets and patriotic music filling the air at the showbiz-themed park. The park’s popular “Fantasmic!” show, featuring fireworks, animation, dancing waters and Disney characters, will be presented on July 4 at 10:30 p.m.

Downtown Disney® Area

The Downtown Disney® Area will present July 4th fireworks at 10:30 p.m. for the revelers, shoppers and diners enjoying the nighttime entertainment district.
