Liberty Square is Disney’s version of colonial America.
This old fashion square is a distinct replica of the colonial era.
Replicas of both the Liberty Bell and Liberty Tree can be
seen here.
One of the most popular attractions in the Magic Kingdom, the Haunted Mansion, is located in this land.
Presiding over the square is the Hall of Presidents, an American History show featuring an audio-animatronic figure of every President of the United States.
Liberty Square has a long waterfront on the Rivers of America and the Liberty Belle steam paddleboat departs from a landing here. The land affords excellent views of the river and Tom Sawyer Island in adjacent Frontierland.
Not only is this landmark historical, it’s functional. There are many shops and stores to meander about. Many people love it so much they must come back for more every year!
Liberty square houses many different attractions such as, Rivers of America, Haunted Mansion, and the Hall of the Presidents.
As you walk through the streets and admire the brick covered buildings you begin to realize how authentic this place really is. Walt Disney was a true American man and his dream to recreate history is evident thru-out this historic land. Liberty Square is the best and only place in Disney to absorb true American history.
The days of Paul revere may be long gone but you can still witness what it was like when the past was the present.
Liberty Square bridges to the park’s central hub, as well as Adventureland. Forming its western border is the Rivers of America, on which the Liberty Belle River Boat travels.
In 2007, the land went under a major refurbishment enhancing and updating all the attractions. Liberty Square is extremely accurate and authentic to to the time period, from major architectural and engineering homages to the small antiques and artifacts peppered throughout the many attractions and dining locations.
